In this podcast Todd Ogasawara and Paul Lawler recorded a podcast outdoors using a pair of wireless lav microphones connected to a Google Pixel 7a Android smartphone and Google's Recorder app. The only audio post processing modifications made to this recording are:
- Auto-reduced silences
- Slightly decreased bass and increased treble to reduce muffled audio
Note: In part B of this podcast (separate audio), no post-processing was performed to allow the listener to hear the raw audio recording.

I noted the low audio volume and muffled sound quality of the ABSGEEGA wireless lav in mini-podcast 35. In this podcast, I used the Just Record This app to record the audio on an iPad mini 6 (instead of an iPhone) to test the app's transcription feature. I used Audacity to try to deal with the audio recording issues to process this podcast. There is, however, a short 5 second segment at about the 10 second mark of the podcast that let's you hear unprocessed recording. The volume is so low that it might seem like silence. I also recorded about 30 seconds of audio using the iPad's built-in mic for the last part of this mini-podcast.

This is a brief (few minutes) outdoor test recording using the low-cost ABSGEEGA wireless lav microphone for Android and iPhone. The first few minutes of this podcast was recorded using the lav. The final minute was recorded using the iPhone 14 Pro's built-in mic for comparison purposes

I tested five (5) microphones for this mini-podcast. However, you will only hear 4 tests because the K23 Bluetooth earbuds was able to play sounds but was not able to record audio although it showed up as a microphone option. The four microphones tested are:
- Blue Yeti Nano (the microphone used for recent podcast recordings. It replaced a full-sized Blue Yeti)
- Macbook Air 202 M1 built-in microphone
- Logitech Webcam C925e
- AirPods Pro

Todd Ogasawara and Jon Westfall talk mostly about Apple products in this podcast: Apple TV+ makes 8 series free for viewing (but, does anyone care?); every season of Modern Family for $100 in the Apple store; the iPhone's "Set Up for an Alternate Appearance" doesn't work with a face mask on - by design; and Jon ordered parts to bring his Apple 27’’ Cinema Displays into the modern world - they connect over MiniDisplay port, so a MiniDP - HDMI output, a USB C hub with passthrough charging, and a charger.
