Sony released the first camera with electronic (analog) storage in 1981. It was called the Sony Mavica and preceded what would become a line of digital cameras in the 1990s. Kent Ekberg was a Sony Corporate Planner at the time and joins me in this podcast to tell us about the camera and Sony's attempts to introduce it to a professional (corporate) audience.
